Washing Instructions
Wash in Cold Water
(30°C max)
Cold water prevents shrinking, helps retain the natural softness of cotton, and saves energy compared to hot washes.
Use Gentle Cycle or Hand Wash
A gentle wash reduces stress on fibers, keeping the fabric strong and maintaining its natural quality for longer wear.
Wash with Similar
Colors
Organic cotton absorbs dye naturally, so washing with like colors prevents accidental color transfer or bleeding.
Use Gentle Cycle or Hand Wash
A gentle wash reduces stress on fibers, keeping the fabric strong and maintaining its natural quality for longer wear.
Avoid Bleach or Fabric Softeners
Bleach weakens fibers and causes yellowing, while softeners coat fabric and reduce its breathability.
Drying Instructions
Machine Drying (Tumble Dryer)
Use low heat or delicate setting only.
Remove while slightly damp to prevent wrinkles and shrinkage.
Never use high heat, as it can shrink and weaken cotton fibers.
Do not overload the dryer; allow clothes to move freely.
Air Drying
Hang on a hanger or drying rack in a shaded, airy spot.
Avoid direct sunlight to keep colors from fading.
Reshape gently while damp to maintain fit.
Provides longer life and softness to the fabric.
Ironing
Do’s & Don’ts
Do's
Do iron on medium heat or while the T-shirt is slightly damp.
Do turn inside out before ironing to protect prints/designs.
Do use steam or a pressing cloth for stubborn wrinkles.
Do fold neatly or use wide hangers to maintain shape.
Do store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Don'ts
Don’t use high heat directly on cotton — it can scorch or shrink.
Don’t iron over logos, prints, or embroidery without protection.
Don’t hang on thin/sharp hangers that cause shoulder bumps.
Don’t store in damp areas (risk of mildew) or in plastic bags long-term.
Don’t overcrowd your wardrobe — clothes need to breathe.
Stain Guide
How to treat stains ?
Always aim to treat stains on organic cotton T-shirts immediately; the sooner you act, the better the results. Since organic cotton is highly absorbent, stains tend to settle quickly, making them harder to remove if left untreated.
There’s no single method that works for all stains, so always consider the type of stain before treatment. Still, a few general practices apply to most situations:
→ Choose the right water temperature. Cold water works best for most stains such as coffee, tea, blood, wine, fruit, and grass. Warm water can set these stains permanently. Reserve hot or warm water only for greasy or oily stains.
→ Blot, don’t rub. Gently blot the stained area with a clean cloth or paper towel. Rubbing can push the stain deeper into the fabric and damage the cotton fibers.
→ Use mild detergents. If water alone doesn’t work, apply a small amount of eco-friendly liquid detergent or natural soap directly to the stain. Let it sit briefly, then rinse gently. For persistent stains, soak the T-shirt in cold water with a small amount of detergent for 15–30 minutes.
→ Avoid harsh chemicals. Bleach, strong stain removers, and harsh scrubbing can weaken organic cotton fibers, cause fading, or damage the surface. Stick to mild solutions like diluted vinegar, baking soda paste, or lemon juice for natural stain treatment.
→ Repeat if needed. Some stains take more than one attempt to fully lift. It’s better to repeat a gentle method than to risk damage by being too aggressive.
* If the stain is stubborn or the T-shirt is delicate with prints, embroidery, or special finishes, consider professional cleaning to avoid accidental damage.
storage
storing clothes correctly
How you store your organic cotton T-shirts matters just as much as how you wash and dry them. Being a natural, breathable fabric, organic cotton is sensitive to sunlight, moisture, and overcrowding. With the right storage habits, your T-shirts will stay fresh, soft, and in shape for longer.
→ Fold instead of hang. The safest way to store cotton T-shirts is by folding them neatly. If you prefer hanging, use soft, wide hangers to avoid shoulder bumps.
→ Keep in a cool, dry spot. Sunlight can fade colors, while dampness may cause mildew. A well-ventilated, shaded area is always best.
→ Give them breathing room. Overstuffed wardrobes lead to wrinkles, odors, and extra wear on fabric. Leave space so your T-shirts can stay fresh.
→ Opt for breathable storage. For seasonal or long-term storage, choose cotton garment bags or fabric boxes. Avoid plastic covers, which trap moisture and can yellow the fabric.
→ Always store clean. Make sure your T-shirts are washed and fully dried before putting them away. Residue from sweat, oil, or food can set into stains or attract insects over time.
* Add a touch of freshness by placing cedar blocks or lavender sachets in your storage space — they naturally repel insects and keep clothes smelling pleasant.
